The Afternoon Hook Up 3.24

I missed a couple days there and I’m sorry about that. It’s just, with the having to catch up on work I neglected during the first two days of the tournament and the spiraling into ever deeper depression and anger due to the way our basketball season ended, things got pretty weird around here.

I won’t bother detailing the way’s in which our basketball team was jobbed and the way we jobbed ourselves (I still fail to grasp how our free throw problem seems irresolvable), that would be pointless and it’s been done everywhere else to the point of absurdity.

And in the end I was proud of the way our team played. They were lacking in skill in key areas and they never quit, despite being overmatched more often than any Texas team I’ve seen in the last 5 years.

And after a couple days goes by and the vivisection of the 2008-2009 basketball season ends we’ll be back in the grips of full-on off-season. Like, off-season off-season. Like, the only sport in play is baseball.
