NCAA Tourney Thoughts: Day 1
AJ Abrams runs around. A lot. I’ve never really appreciated it much in the past, maybe I wasn’t watching close enough. The kid runs around, through or under screen after screen. You could see his work ethic on the face of that poor Minnesota-ite (if I don’t know how to say that you’re from a certain state off the top of my head, you need to move from said state) that had to defend him. Say what you will about his streakiness, but he plays his ass off and works hard to get shots.
Coach Barnes calls Abrams and Pittman ‘Flea and the Elephant’. Which sounds like an awful art house film. Or a great superhero combo. I can’t decide.
Texas has now accomplished all I expect them to in the tournament. Any more will just be gravy. And there is no gravy better than beat-Duke-and-that-goddamn-ratmouth-kyszrtszelkhmgski gravy.
